The Iscles are in the heart of the "Pays de Forcalquier" rightly renowned for its climate, its clear sky, the beauty and the luminosity of its landscapes. The Iscles are situated on the edge of the "Regional Park of Luberon", where the "alpine" and the "mediterranean" worlds meet. They are located close to: the town of Manosque, the Priory of Salagon, ethnological conservatory of Haute Provence the Priory of Ganagobie, benedictin monastory of the 12th century, the Observatory of Haute Provence located in a particularly dry and clear microclimate, the mountains of Lure and of Contadour, decribed at some length by Giono, several "villages perchés" ( Dauphin - Lurs - etc...) the Castle of Sauvan, "little Trianon" of Haute Provence, the Gorges of Verdon.
